Mission Trip to Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic

Serving Colegio Evangelico EZRA, Our Sister Church's School

We are excited to share how God worked through our recent mission trip to Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic! From December 5th to December 8th, our mission team partnered with Colegio Evangelico EZRA, a school established under the leadership of Missionary Pastor Nehemiah Park. This school serves children in one of the most impoverished areas of Santiago, offering education and hope rooted in the Gospel.

A Mission of Hope: Sharing John 3:16

With the theme of HOPE (John 3:16), our team came alongside Colegio Evangelico EZRA to bless the students and community with both practical tools for learning and spiritual encouragement. This year, we worked in partnership with our global partner, Global Campus Missionary International, to donate 30 laptop computers to the school. These laptops are a significant resource for empowering students to develop computer skills, including learning to write using word processors and other essential programs.

Mission Trip Itinerary

Thursday, December 5th

Morning: Introduction to computer education for 3rd and 4th-year students. Bible study for Kindergarten and 1st-2nd-year students (Isaiah 9:1-7).
Afternoon: Union worship service (led by Shawn Desai), sports, and games.
Evening: Outreach and visitation.

Friday, December 6th

Morning: Continued computer education for 3rd and 4th-year students, crafts for Kindergarten and 1st-2nd-year students (Luke 2:1-20).
Afternoon: Union worship service (led by Timothy Lee), talent show, and games.
Evening: Meeting with church leaders.

Saturday, December 7th

Morning: Worship service for children and adults, Bible study on John 3:16 (Chea Young Kwon and Pioneer Kim).
Afternoon: Fellowship time and a tour with the mission team.

Sunday, December 8th

Morning: Worship service for adults (led by Pioneer Kim), closing celebration.

A Focus on Education and Empowerment

One of the trip’s most impactful moments was presenting Colegio Evangelico EZRA with 30 brand-new laptops. These laptops will provide students with invaluable opportunities to develop computer literacy—a critical skill for future education and employment.

During our time, we hosted computer education sessions to teach 3rd and 4th-year students how to use the laptops, including writing using word processors, basic navigation, and foundational skills for productivity. Watching the students engage with the technology for the first time was a powerful reminder of how practical resources, combined with God’s love, can inspire hope and open new doors.

Team Highlights

Our mission team worked collaboratively to serve the students and community:

Bible Study and Worship: Each age group received tailored Bible lessons and worship services led by our team members with the help of dedicated translators.
Educational Programs: The donation of laptops allowed us to introduce computer education, equipping students with skills that will serve them well in the future.
Fellowship and Outreach: From talent shows to home visitations, we connected with the community in meaningful ways, sharing encouragement and prayer.

Praise & Worship Team: Led by Dong Hwi Han, Korado, and Steve Moon, this team brought vibrant worship music that lifted hearts and inspired joyful praise.

A Lasting Partnership

Our collaboration with Global Campus Missionary International and Colegio Evangelico EZRA reflects the power of partnership. Together, we are investing in the next generation by meeting both their physical and spiritual needs, all for the glory of God.
